CONTROVERSY has followed Backstreet Boy Nick Carter since he stepped into the spotlight more than a decade ago.

And the 26-year-old admits his dysfunctional family life has something to do with that.

Drunken wild nights out, his turbulent romance with hotel heiress Paris Hilton and his brother Aaron’s highly publicised petition for legal emancipation from his mother, have made headlines around the world.

The eldest of five children, Nick says his celebrity has affected his siblings – sisters Bobbie Jean (BJ), Leslie and twins Angel and pop singer Aaron.

Family style

Nobody was killed during the making of Nick Carter’s sibling reunion. Talk about pure luck.

October 23, 2006 — COMPARED to the Carters – former Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, brother Aaron and their three sisters – the Osbournes look suspiciously wholesome.

The unlikely stars of E!’s “House of Carters,” which started last week, are like no other family you can see on TV.

PASADENA, Calif. – Nick Carter is sporting a bruise on his forehead, and brother Aaron Carter is pretty proud of it.

“He was being disrespectful, and we started throwing punches,” Aaron says with a laugh. “I’m not little AC anymore. I don’t back down.”

The Carters’ aggressiveness – or maybe it’s their dysfunctional way – is exactly the stuff to make them ripe for reality television. On their new series, “House of Carters” (airing 9 p.m. tonight, E!), the brothers Carter have their daily lives documented – fights, tears, meltdowns and all.

Get real with quibbling siblings

Posted in 2006 - House of Carters on February 15th, 2009 by admin

PEEKING into celebrity life always makes for riveting TV, and so is the case with the latest reality series House Of Carters.

It chronicles the daily lives of pop singers Nick and Aaron Carter and their three sisters, as they try and manage on their own, sans parents, in a huge mansion.

Nick, 26, a member of the still-surviving boy band Backstreet Boys, plays ‘big brother’ and wants his siblings to give him ‘a little respect’.

But his personality is bland next to his flamboyant and impulsive younger brother Aaron. Aaron,19, does silly boy things like jumping from a three-storey balcony into the swimming pool, getting drunk and blasting music in the middle of the night.
