Backstreet Boys star Brian Littrell has been diagnosed with swine flu, according to People.

The band have cancelled several promotional appearances, including a performance at New York’s Hard Rock Cafe for the NYC Pinktober event, to allow Littrell time to recover.

In a statement, he said: “We were really looking forward to spending time with our closest fans and friends in NYC and take part of Pinktober, an unbelievable and important program.

Littrell Struck Down With Swine Flu

Sick Backstreet Boys star Brian Littrell has taken to the Internet to apologize to fans for missing an autograph signing due to swine flu. The singer has contracted the virus known as H1N1, and his fellow band mates have been screened for the illness.

Their handlers felt it best that the Hard Rock Cafe appearance in New York’s Times Square on Monday, October 5th, was called off.

Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club Golf Tournament To Be Held In Alpharetta

Alpharetta, GA—Celebrities and fans are heading to Alpharetta, GA for the first annual Brian Littrell Healthy Heart Club (HHC) Golf Tournament.

The HHC was founded by the Backstreet Boys member after undergoing open-heart surgery, ten years ago.

The charity assists families financially with their children’s heart surgeries. They also have an “Angels and Heroes” program to aid natural disaster victims and servicemen and servicewomen.
