StarShine Magazine had the pleasure of attending the Dorough Lupus Foundation’s charity event in New York City on October 21, 2006. The event was open to the elite ticket holders who opened their wallets for a good cause. The Dorough Lupus Foundation was formed in 1998 by Howie Dorough and his family after the loss of his sister, Caroline, to the disease.

Kicking things off at Tony’s Restaurant on 43rd Street, StarShine’s editor, Sandy Lo Grasso along with her photographer for the evening as well as her sister, Suzie met up with Anna Sundstrand and Chris Trousdale. StarShine Magazine was able to play a bigger part in the foundation for this event. We brought along some celebrity friends to help support the cause. Along with Anna and Chris, Mega Music/Universal recording artist, Nicole attended. Pop/Latin singer, Myra was scheduled to arrive, unfortunately due to illness, she had to cancel.

Nick Carter has admitted he didn’t sleep with Ashlee Simpson. The Backstreet Boys singer has been forced to apologise after claiming he had sex with the ‘Boyfriend’ singer to get back at ex-girlfriend Paris Hilton for cheating on him.

He has now denied bedding Ashlee – the younger sister of ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star Jessica – and has called her a “good girl”.

Nick has also bizarrely blamed his brother Aaron for stories about his sex life hitting the headlines.

Backstreet Boy and House of Carters star Nick Carter confessed to Us Weekly on Friday that his first serious relationship was with infamous school teacher Debra Beasley LaFave. The pair met when they were teenagers living in Ruskin, Florida, near Tampa.

“I met her in church,” Carter tells Us exclusively. “I was 15 and she was 14. It was my first relationship and I lost my virginity to her. I was head over heels for her and I loved the hell out of her.”

LaFave later became an eighth grade reading teacher at Greco Middle School in Temple Terrance, Florida. In 2004, LaFave was arrested at the home of a student, accused of having sex with him at her apartment, in her car, and in her classroom. She was 23 at the time and the victim was 14.

September 29, 2006 — NICK Carter, 26, will never forget the first girl he had sex with – because she grew up to become the infamous blond Florida teacher who bedded a 13-year-old student. The former Backstreet Boy told Howard Stern on Sirius Satellite Radio yesterday that he dated Debbie LeFave, 23, for 18 months when they were classmates, and busted up with her when he learned from pals “she had cheated on me with a girl.”

He kept quiet when the scandal broke because, “my publicist is like, stay as far away from that [bleep] as you can.” Carter also discussed his sex sessions with Paris Hilton. “In the very beginning, you know, she was literally cleaning my carpet in my apartment . . . trying to act all domesticated,” he related. “And then, before you know it, a month or two goes by and it’s back to the old nose up in the air and who are you?”
